DuPont Expands Award-winning DuPont™ Delrin® Renewable Attributed Portfolio
Five new grades offer sustainable options for food and water contact applications, as well as medical devices
WILMINGTON, Del., Dec. 13, 2021 – DuPont (NYSE:DD) today announced the launch of five new grades of Delrin® Renewable Attributed acetal homopolymer resins, enabling customers to achieve their sustainability goals, especially those who manage strict regulatory compliance requirements. A recent R&D 100 Award winner and a finalist for the Global BioPlastics Award 2020/21, the expanded Delrin® Renewable Attributed portfolio enables the design of parts that are lightweight, durable, reliable, and made with renewable materials.

Delrin® Renewable Attributed (FG) resins meet the requirements of various regulatory standards including Food Contact compliance, as well as suitability for contact with potable water according to NSF 61, WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme), ACS (Attestation de conformité sanitaire), KTW (Kunststoffe im Trinkwasser), and W270 standards. They are produced according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Typical applications include pumps, filtration components, sanitary, in-line heaters, fixtures and tanks, as well as kitchenware, food packaging, and food processing.
The medical device industry continues to innovate with wearables that are making home care and self-administration more convenient for patients. Delrin® Renewable Attributed offers unique characteristics, such as lubricity, toughness, and stability, which enable greater ease of movement of medical devices’ internal components.
