April 22, 2025 – Wilmington DE – Delrin, a leading high-performance acetal homopolymer business, recently announced ambitious goals to further reduce carbon emissions and to work with suppliers to mitigate emissions from chemical outputs.
These new decarbonization goals will positively impact operations across the board from shaping how the company purchases raw materials and energy, to the operating efficiency of two manufacturing plants, to waste generation, and how the company helps customers develop more sustainable product solutions.
The new 2030 sustainability goals for Delrin are*:
- Achieve a 60% absolute reduction in Scope 1&2 emissions **
- Achieve a 15% absolute reduction in Scope 3 emissions from primary contributors

- Support the increased adoption of sustainable Delrin solutions by our customers, including Delrin® Renewable Attributed***
*Delrin sustainability goals are measured relative to a 2018 baseline year
**Scope 1 covers direct emissions from owned or controlled emissions sources while scope 2 covers indirect emissions from purchased energy resources.
***Delrin® Renewable Attributed was the first commercial bio-based acetal homopolymer and has been recognized for its world-class environmental profile, winning multiple awards upon release.
